Dr. Joan B. Sanders is the Presiding Prelate and Chief Apostle of the Prayer Tabernacle Covenant Ministries, Inc. (PTCM), a rich covenant fellowship of pastors and ministries. More than ten churches are under her tutelage. One of her personal missions is fulfilled as she prays, encourages, and imparts wisdom to God’s prophets, teachers, and preachers.

Dr. Sanders has been the pastor of El-Bethel Prayer Tabernacle, a progressive, interdenominational church, for 34 years. Without fail, she ministers from a posture of passion, power, and persistent prayer that triggers liberation to all who are exposed to her ministry; a ministry geared toward healing wounded souls and liberating captive hearts. Many souls have received the benefits of her wisdom through her weekly radio broadcast, The Midnight Cry. She also serves as the President and CEO of Meshnah Community Development Corporation.

The late Apostle Robert Evans, Jr. consecrated her as the second Episcopal Bishop of the Beth-El Churches of Christ. On July 25, 1998, Bishop Joan Sanders was awarded the Doctor of Divinity Degree, Suma cum laude from the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth.

In November 2003, Dr. Sanders’ vision of PTCM came into fruition. Annual pastor’s retreats and covenant conferences are designed to enrich, empower, and encourage pastors to return to and maintain a passion for their God-ordained assignment of building lives.
